The Greater Bridgeport Regional Council is developing a blueprint for the future – a new Regional Comprehensive Plan that will guide decision making and investment over the next 10 years!
What is a Regional
The Regional Comprehensive Plan is a blueprint for future growth and development within the Greater Bridgeport Region. Based on a strong foundation of community input, the Plan guides the region’s governments as they make policy decisions on land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, economic development, sustainability, and more. A collective vision increases cooperation and communication between governments and develops coordinated approaches to regional problems.
The State of Connecticut requires all regional planning organizations to develop a plan, formally referred to as a Regional Plan of Conservation and Development, every 10 years. The GBRC’s last plan was adopted in January 2008.
