Notice of Public Hearings and Informational Meetings

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will conduct public hearings on proposed public transit fare increases for bus, rail and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit services; and proposed service reductions to the New Haven Line, New Canaan Line, Danbury Line, Waterbury Line, and Shore Line East rail services. No bus or ADA paratransit service reductions are proposed at this time.

First Selectman Mike Tetreau has been unanimously elected to serve as Chairman of the Connecticut Metropolitan Council of Governments (MetroCOG). He previously served as Secretary.

Annual Listing of Obligated Projects, 2017

MetroCOG announces the availability of the Annual Listing of Obligated Projects for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017.  The Annual Listing is required by federal regulations after the conclusion of a fiscal year to report on progress in implementing the five-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  Although the TIP indicates planned funding for improvement projects and confers eligibility for federal funding, obligation effectively “locks in” the funding for projects and leads the way to implementation.
