Transportation Air Quality Determination with respect to the 2008 Ozone Standard

Today the Greater Bridgeport and Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (GBVMPO)  is opening the public involvement process, for a two week period, to receive comments on the air quality conformity evaluation of the current 2011 Regional Transportation Plans for the Greater Bridgeport and Valley planning regions and the 2012-2015 Transportation Improvement Program, as amended, with respect to the new 2008 eight-hour ozone standard.

GBRC Receives FEMA Flood Risk Grant

On May 6, 2013, GBRC was awarded a FEMA Community Resilience Innovation Program grant in the amount of $35,000 for a Regional Flooding Risk Assessment and Community Rating System (CRS) Feasibility Study.

GBRC Receives EPA Brownfield Grant

The GBRC was awarded an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant in the amount of $400,000 for Brownfield Assessment of targeted properties located within the shared transportation investment area (TIA) corridor of the East Side and East End in the City of Bridgeport and the Downtown Center located in the Town of Stratford.
