Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)

The Metropolitan Transportation Plan identifies opportunities to improve mobility for people and businesses throughout the Greater Bridgeport and Naugatuck Valley Region from 2019 to 2045. The MTP must be prepared in accordance with federal regulations (23 CFR 450§324). By sharing your ideas and opinions about how to improve the safety and efficiency of your community’s transportation system, you will help guide elected officials when they make decisions about where and how to invest in the transportation system in the future.

Funcionarios electos de Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford y Trumbull están buscando opiniones del público sobre ideas para prepararse para enfrentar los desastres naturales como la inundación del 25 de septiembre de 2018. Eventos como inundaciones, huracanes, tormentas eléctricas, tormentas de invierno y otros peligros naturales afectan a los residentes y negocios todos los años. Estos eventos ocasionan daños a la propiedad, provocan cortes de energía, bloquean carreteras y pueden causar lesiones.

Annual Listing of Obligated Projects FY19

MetroCOG announces the availability of the Annual Listing of Obligated Projects for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2019.  The Annual Listing is required by federal regulations after the conclusion of a fiscal year to report on progress in implementing the five-year Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  Although the TIP indicates planned funding for improvement projects and confers eligibility for federal funding, obligation effectively “locks in” the funding for projects and leads the way to implementation.

Natural Hazard Mitigation Press Release

Elected officials in Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Stratford, and Trumbull are seeking public input on ideas for preparing for natural disasters such as the flood of September 25, 2018. Events such as floods, hurricanes, thunderstorms, winter storms, and other natural hazards affect residents and businesses every year. These events damage property, cause power outages, block roads, and can cause injuries.
