Trumbull is a suburban community of 32,000 residents that is dedicated to the preservation of family-oriented character.

Trumbull, Connecticut

It is zoned primarily for residential use, and consists mostly of single family residences located on half- to one-acre lots. Trumbull is tied with Fairfield, at 13%, for the highest proportion of land in the region dedicated to recreation.

Recent introductions of more compact cluster developments and condominiums have added variety to its predominantly single family character. Although strongly residential, Trumbull is also home to Trumbull Shopping Park, the largest regional shopping mall in the area, as well as several corporations such as NASDAQ, Golf Digest, and Pilot Corporation.

Like Monroe, Trumbull will be served by the rail-trail now being built from Monroe through Trumbull to the ferry dock in Bridgeport.
